                             NUMBER SYSTEM 



1.  A number is divisible by ‘2’ if it ends in zero or in a digit which is a multiple of
    ‘2’i.e. 2,4, 6, 8.

2.  A number is divisible by ‘3’, if the sum of the digits is divisible by ‘3’.

3.  A number is divisible by ‘4’ if the number formed by the last two digits, i.e. tens
      and units are divisible by 4.

4.  A number is divisible by ‘5’ if it ends in zero or 5

5.  A number is divisible by ‘6’ if it divisible by ‘2’ as well as by ‘3’.

6.  A number is divisible by ‘8’ if the number formed by the last three digits, i.e,
hundreds tens and units is divisible by ‘8’.

7.  A number is divisible by ‘9’ if the sum of its digit is divisible by ‘9’

8.  A number is divisible by ‘10’ if it ends in zero.

9.  A number is divisible by ‘11’ if the difference between the sums of the digits in

the even and odd places is zero or a multiple of ‘11’.


NOW  lets practice some question on  the basis of above facts.
Q. 1.  Is number  458123652 is divided by 2?
Ans.       You don’t  just  need  to divide whole number by  just see the last digit of the number if last digit              is an even number of end with 0 then the number will be divided by 2.

Q. 2.  Is number  47652 is divided by 3?
Ans.       In the case of 3 just take the sum of digit of the number given. In above question some of digit is             24 and we know that 24 can be divided by 3. Hence we can say that the given number is divided     by 3.
Q. 3.  Find out that which number is divisible by 4.         
                a)45824                                b)24169
                c)112450                              d)52354
Ans        To find out answer of above question we don’t need to divide all the number by 4.
We just need to take last two digit of the number if last two digit is divisible by 4 it means you can say that the given number is divided by 4.
